Vice-Chancellor in International Affairs from the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences met with his counterpart in Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences

Tuesday November 16, 2015, Dr. Mohammad Ali Mohseni Bandpei, Vice-Chancellor in International Affairs of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, met with his counterpart, Dr. Naghib Zadeh in Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.

The meeting was held at the SBMU International Affairs office.  Dr. Naghib Zadeh, Vice-Chancellor in International Affairs, Dr. Ghareh Baghian, Manager of International Advancement, Dr. Dalaayee, Manager of Accreditation and Ranking, Dr. Veisi and Ms. Vatan Parvar staff of the International Affairs attended this meeting.

At first, Dr. Mohsen Bandpei gave a brief overview of their experience in the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences regarding foreign student admission and their training, in particular those from the Middle East and Africa. Then, he referred to the great educational, research and clinical potential and competence of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. He found this meeting very promising to provide the opportunity for further collaboration between the two universities in the near future in order to conduct joint projects. 

Afterwards, Dr. Mohseni continued with evaluating the Accreditation Service for International Colleges and Schools (ASIC) and discussed its indices in university accreditation.

In addition to his talk, Dr. Ghareh Baghian pointed out to their experience in Shahid Beheshti Medical University in the area of foreign student admission and training, and warmly welcomed the recommendation made by Dr. Mohseni to collaborate.

In the end, they agreed to prepare a memorandum of understanding concerning mutual collaboration in foreign student admission, training and accommodation, and also they decided to share their accreditation experiences to help each other in this process too.
